If I were a salad, I'd be splashing in my dressing!

That's right: Guys and Dolls opens tomorrow night. Fun stuff. Not so excited about the conductor, who's having some....difficulties.....keeping a decent beat. Don't know how she manages to mess up keeping a beat of four, but I'm thinking she might do a better job if she weren't so busy bouncing along to the music and started reading the score. Anyway, enough of that. It'll be an interesting performance.

Note to self: get sleep first, then come to class. Unless your goal in life is to be poked awake by the lecturer's large pointer stick.....in that case, I've fulfilled my mission and can now die happily. At least everyone had a good laugh at me and it kept me (and everyone else) awake for the rest of the lecture. I can't help it if I find the math to calculate flood velocity boring. There's a reason I stopped taking math after calculus in 11th grade.

Today is an absolutely gorgeous day, just like yesterday and the day before. I get so excited when the sun comes out and it's sort of warm. It makes me think of Cairns and bikinis. Mel and I have been working hard on Slim in 6, although we put it on hold this week because we've been spending long hours at rehearsals and still need to do assignments and stuff too. We need to find a fourth person to go with us now, because Steve doesn't want to go anymore. We should talk to Lara whenever she gets back from uni today, because it'd be so fun if she came. Or maybe Mel's friend Petey can come-- he came to visit Mel over the weekend, and he's hilarious. Oh! And how amazingly fun is this: Robyn said she can come visit me!!!!!! I'm so excited! We have to work out when she's coming....maybe she can come at the end and she and I can go explore Western Australia. I don't really care when she comes though, we can still do fun touristy things here in Melbourne that I've been wanting to do since getting here, like go to the zoo, and Healesville Sanctuary (they have all the native Australian animals), and the aquarium. Yay this is going to be really fun!

I finished my psych assignment yesterday, and it's not due til tomorrow!!! I'm on a roll here: I did my bio one by Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't due til Monday afternoon. And I've decided on which question I'm going to do my 2000 word social work midterm on. I need to pick a book though; the ones on this list that I've looked up so far look a bit sketchy. The first one's about a girl's experience growing up in a cult (it's a book about child abuse). I read a bit of it, but it's kind of scary, so I think I might look into a different one. I think I'm going to stick with the child abuse theme though. Anyway, I don't want to waste any more of the 2 hours I have left to enjoy the sun (before going into the dungeon theatre for rehearsals til 10:30PM), so I'm going to go run some errands and turn in my psych assignment. Hopefully I can get everything done.

I could definitely use some of the diligence vibes this way, too, if you don't mind.

(Heee heeeeeeee. You got poked!) ^^
